DESCRIPTION:
The Coal21 fund is an industry fund initiated by the Australian Coal Association which will raise A$1 billion over approximately ten-years to support research, development and demonstration of low emissions coal technologies to combat climate change.

The fund is managed by the Australian Coal Association Low Emissions Technologies Ltd. (ACALET). The proceeds of the fund are derived from a voluntary levy on black coal producers.
