DESCRIPTION:
The South Korean government said in a July 13, 2010 statement that total public and private investment in carbon capture and storage (CCS) would reach an estimated 2.3 trillion won (US$1.98 billion) by 2019. Of that total, about 1.2 trillion won would come from government spending (US$1.03 billion). The private sector was expected to spend an additional 1.1 trillion won.
